Accounts. When you create an account, our authentication provider (Supabase) stores your email address, display name, avatar, and which sign-in provider you used (Google, Apple, or email). We use this to let you sign in and RSVP to runs.
RSVPs. When you mark yourself as going or interested in a run, we store that response. Your display name and avatar are shown to other signed-in users viewing that run.
Club claims. If you claim a club listing, we collect your first and last name, email, phone number, the club's Instagram handle, and your message. We use this only to verify that you own or run the club.
Club submissions and contact messages. When you submit a club or use the contact form, we store what you type, plus your email address, so we can review it and reply.
Newsletter. The signup form on our newsletter page is run by beehiiv. When you sign up, you give your email address to beehiiv, which also records the page you signed up from and sends the weekly email for us. We don't keep a separate copy. It stays with beehiiv until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it; beehiiv keeps unsubscribed records according to its own policy.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It records pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, the site you came from, and campaign tags in the URL, using cookies.
Approximate location. The home page asks ipapi.co for an approximate location based on your IP address so we can center the map near you. ipapi.co receives your IP address to answer that request. We don't store the result.
Map tiles. Our maps load tiles from OpenStreetMap's tile servers. Like any web request, those servers receive your IP address and browser information when the map loads.
We share personal information only with the service providers that run the site: Supabase (database, authentication, and data hosting), beehiiv (newsletter), Google Analytics (usage analytics), ipapi.co (approximate location), and OpenStreetMap (map tiles), plus our hosting provider, which processes every request to the site.
We don't sell personal information. Club listing information — names, meeting spots, schedules, and public links — is public by design; that's the point of the site.
We keep account and RSVP data until you delete your account or ask us to delete it. We keep club claims, submissions, and contact messages as long as needed to review them and maintain the listing. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics data-retention setting.
You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with a browser extension. You can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing eoin@runclubmap.com.
Run Club Map is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
